I know those loops well because I have lived them too.
I grew up in a family marked by dysfunction, addiction, and loss. My father’s suicide in my early 20’s was a rupture that shaped me in ways I didn’t fully understand until years later. I built a life, became a therapist, and helped others heal. Yet even after decades of therapy, spiritual work, and achievement, I noticed something: the old patterns had a way of showing back up as fears, over-giving, and that quiet sense that life was almost mine but not quite.
